State Sen. William Brownsberger reports the state agency in charge of keeping state-owned buildings in good repair informed him today:
The project of fixing the courthouse steps is in the final stages of design, will go out to bid in a month and the work should be done this summer.
Brownsberger inquired after seeing complaints about the ongoing eyesore on a Cleveland Circle online forum.

Are they super cereal about it

The discussion that you linked is behind a membership wall, unfortunately.
I had jury duty there last summer, and the state of the steps is indeed awful.

I linked to it for folks so they could sign up for the e-mail discussion.
Since 1999
I have lived up the road since 1999, these stairs are always under repair.
Fix me sign is great
You gotta love that someone spray painted "fix me" on the particle board that blocks the steps. Makes me smile every time I drive by -- my sentiments exactly!
