On Thursday, a woman stood outside the Park Street subway station, feeding pigeons - much like another woman did more than 100 years ago:
Bottom photo from the Library of Congress.
Anyone know what was going on behind the fences on the left in the older photo? Or, for that matter, on the left in the newer photo?
"Feces" (yeah probably just me, but you know. pigeons.)
You mean it DOESN'T say "Feces"?!?
"Anyone know what was going on behind the fences on the left in the older photo? Or, for that matter, on the left in the newer photo?"
They updated the fences.
Wow. Even the pigeons looked healthier and happier back then. And regarding the fences, was livestock still in the Common at that time?
Same as it ever was....
I've been Bryne-rolled. Or is it Dave-rolled.
( ouch! — those shoes look much too small for her feet )
More from the LOC, unfortunately with some damage:
( Adorable! )
