Police: Man was hanging out at Readville train station with a loaded gun
Boston Police report arresting a Hyde Park man packing a revolver loaded with six rounds on the pedestrian bridge that connects the two sides of the Readville train station over the tracks.
Police say officers with the B-2 drug unit in Roxbury, as part of an ongoing investigation, got information they'd find Edward Hanley, 31, with a gun at the train station shortly before 5 p.m. on Friday. Police say the information was correct and they arrested him and removed the loaded gun from his waistband.
Hanley was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm on a public way, police say.
