Oh, look, our first attack blog of the 2009 elections

Whoever's behind this site really, really, really hates Tom Menino. Still, it's interesting looking at a site calling for "an open and honest dialogue" on the issues facing Boston when its operators go out of their way to hide their identities:

So the woman throwing coins ...
Was she an activist for Change for Boston?
Not directly, no
She was just an agent for Change.
Quoting from
http://www.changeforboston.org/about/
The annoying thing about astroturfers and such is the thought that some people are naive enough to listen to them.
And anyone who thinks that they can do anonymous online campaigning and be persuasive to savvy people is not themself savvy.
Pretty clearly a Flaherty supporter
The text of several posts makes it pretty clear this site was put together by a Flaherty supporter...
...who doesn't proofread his/her own writing.
The many grammatical and spelling mistakes suggest to me, however, that it's not being done by any serious PR or political hack inside the campaign. Probably a fervent supporter, not an insider.
A Flaherty supporter who lives in East Boston
I'm betting.
My Guess? Flaherty Yes, East Boston No
the whole site is directed at and for Flaherty. The comments are all Southie-centric. Talks about screwing Ed Flynn Jr when he ran, Linehan bashing, and takes aim at Frank Chin of Chinatown. Isn't Chinatown part of the South Boston District Council area? The mis-spelling is either meant to look amateurish or more Flaherty campaign errors
Good point
I was thinking Eastie because of the detailed post about how Menino allegedly destroyed the Italian festival.
And, yes, Chinatown is part of Linehan's district.
OH NO YOU DIDN'T!
WHOIS info is strictly off limits, Adam. Don't you remember the temper-tantrum UHubbers threw last time?
Only if there's actually information there
Which there isn't here - just the address of the domain registrar that Mr. or Ms. Change is using to hide any semblance of actual contact info.
