The trees on the left tell me that that was a big Victorian before the phone company put the garage, which is now the wood supply place there.

Ah, Pickwick Ale
I remember walking into Sevens a few decades ago and seeing Pickwick on tap. That was a shock. Normally, you'd see it in skanky bars that had a line outside when it opened at 7 AM. Of course, I ordered one.
Poor man’s whiskey
Before malt liquor was a thing, there was Pickwick Ale, brewed right in JP by Haffenreffer. The name later belonged to Narragansett, and now I believe someone else is making an ale by that name, but the original high abv “Haffenwrecker” is ancient history.

Narragansett made a number beers, let's see what I can remember from my beer delivery days:
Narragansett lager, ale, porter
Croft ale
Krueger beer, ale, pilsner
Haffenreffer beer, ale, malt liquor a.k.a. Green Death
Pickwick ale
Narragansett was bought by Falstaff sometime in the 70's and eventually closed the Cranston RI brewery.
A few years ago, someone bought the Narragansett name and marketed the beer again. I manage to down a few Narrys on visits to Block I.
