Violent mugging in East Boston

Boston Police report a man walking on Brooks Street around 11 p.m. on Friday was punched and kicked by a couple of muggers, who fled down White Street toward Putnam Street after taking his cell phone. The victim was taken to a local hospital with facial injuries.

The suspects are described at two black males, 25-26, 5'8" to 5'10", both wearing dark coats and dark knit caps.
