A man was fatally shot four times in the upper body shortly around 1 a.m. at 267 Centre St. in the Mildred Hailey Apartments, formerly Bromley-Heath, Kevin Wiles, Jr. and 617 Images report. Boston Police report the victim was in his early 40s.
Around 10:40 p.m., Boston and Transit Police officers rushed to the area of the Jackson Square Orange Line station when a suspect driving a stolen car got out, climbed up an electrical tower, then down to the station. Read more.

The City Council voted unanimously today to approve a measure celebrating the Latino heritage of Centre Street from Hyde to Jackson squares in JP.

Around 5:40 p.m., a man accidentally dropped a vodka nip on the Orange Line tracks, so he jumped down into "the pit" to retrieve it. On getting back up, he was met by T employees, who held him until the arrival of police - who told him to not do that again. Service was not delayed.
