I bought 8 games - didn't realize I'd violated any policies. Have done this for the past few years with no problems, but suddenly this year it is apparently a violation.

I emailed Bruce Mohl at the Globe - he writes the consumer affairs column. Perhaps if others email him also, there could be a story.

Hey, I'm sorry to be a pain in the a**. But the policy is pretty clear; 2 games, 4 tickets for ALL transactions...it does not say PER transaction. I hate whiny people who decide not to read the fine print and go ahead and buy up all the tickets, so the rest of us who spent the day on our computers had a harder time getting through or worse, not getting tickets at all. It is your responsibility as a consumer to know the policies of the busines with whom you are conducting a tranaction. So in the end we are adults constrained by these policies...it's your own fault if your an irresponsible consumer.

Their wording has actually evolved in response to complaints from customers that the prior language was unclear. So depending on when you bought, you may have seen different language.

There's a difference between willful misconduct and actual misunderstanding. For folks who bought a small number of games, particularly given that historically this has been allowed, it seems reasonable to give the benefit of the doubt.
