Convicted bank robber charged with Egleston Square rapes
UPDATE: Beverly was already scheduled for trial on Feb. 11 on on a charge of domestic assault and battery for an incident in June, 2012 in the home of a 43-year-old Dorchester woman, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Boston Police report arresting Tikee Juan Beverly, 37, of Roxbury, for two rapes this weekend in a vacant lot on Washington Street.
Beverly is scheduled for arraignment tomorrow in Roxbury District Court on three counts of rape for the two incidents, one Saturday morning, the other Sunday morning. In both cases, police say, Beverly struck up a conversation with a woman at Columbus Avenue and Washington Street, then led them to a vacant lot on Washington, near Townsend, and raped them.
In 2004, a federal judge sentenced Beverly to ten years in prison after he was convicted for six bank robberies in Dorchester, Roxbury and Malden. He was released from federal custody in May, 2012, although his Facebook page suggests he was in a halfway house before then - it shows he got a job at Haley House in 2011.
Innocent, etc.

Must be a mistake
he certainly doesn't look like the kind of guy who would do that. Clean, sweater, nice smile.
How would you know were you
How would you know were you there with him ?
Hey! Are you trying to say that most rapists
all look alike? Are you surprised when they are well spoken also?
facetious
C'mon. I was of course being facetious.
How am I supposed to know that?
All you anon(not verified) look the same to me.
Bail set at $60,000
Prosecutors had asked for $200,000. However, his bail on the prior Dorchester case was revoked.
Also, the feds might be taking a look - he was on probation for the bank jobs.
Was out on personal
Was out on personal recognizance from another assault beef when he committed the rapes according to the Globe. That assasult was committed within a month of getting out of prison. How does a violent offender with a long rap sheet get no bail in this situation? What a system.
