Cue the lawsuit: Local home-audio company sues GM
By adamg on Wed, 10/23/2013 - 8:32am
Cue Acoustics, a Woburn maker of home audio systems, is suing General Motors for promoting something it calls the Cadillac User Experience, or CUE.
In its lawsuit, filed yesterday in US District Court in Boston, Cue says that because the GM CUE includes an audio system, would-be buyers could be confused and think they were buying a Cue product. The company says it asked GM to knock it off and that its failure to do so means its intentionally infringing on Cue's trademark.
Cue is seeking an end to GM's use of the acronym, treble damages and lawyer's fees.

Avoiding customer confusion
It would be just my luck to think I was ordering speakers and have them deliver a giant car. It probably wouldn't even fit in the door. Thanks, Cue!!
Just Treble Damages?
I should think there are bass and midrange damages too!
