Collision happened shortly after 9 p.m., according to Boston EMS Incidents. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the pedestrian's injuries.

A Dorchester man arrested over the weekend and three other people now face murder charges for the death of Brousseau Normil, 20, of Cambridge, whose body was found stuffed in the back seat of a rental car on Langdon Street in Roxbury last spring, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Eric Barnes, 28, of Dorchester, Kenneth Sales, 24, of Roxbury and Tyronne Seams, 28, of Dorchester, were indicted Friday on charges of first-degreee murder and armed robbery, the DA's office reoprts. Brianna Erickson, 22, of Roxbury, was indicted for armed robbery.

Boston Police report finding a man with several gunshot wounds around 1 a.m. at Regent and Dabney streets. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Firefighters rushed to 124 Marcella St. around 11 p.m. for a one-alarm fire in the basement. Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire. A BFD spokesman estimates damage at $15,000.

Police are looking for two men see bicycling and then running towards Ruggles after gunfire around 8:15 p.m. on Albert Street, across the Southwest Corridor Park from the rear of BPD headquarters. Police found shell casings from the three or four shots, but no victims.

8:55 p.m. Two teens robbed somebody of his phone, then fired shots in the area at Ruggles and Annunication streets.

10 p.m. Shots fired outside 109 Homestead St.

1:15 a.m. Multiple shots fired in the rear of 45 Brookledge St..

The Herald reports on an incident around 10 a.m. yesterday at Beyeza Barbershop, 602 Blue Hill Ave. The owner was stabbed several times, but in return, one of his attackers got smashed in the face with a padlock.

Charles Sammon, 37, of West Pittston, PA., was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison yesterday for a scheme in which he collected fees at closings for triple-decker units in Dorchester, Roxbury and Jamaica Plain involving buyers who then promptly defaulted, the US Attorney's office in Boston reports.

A concerned citizen complains about the stuff he or she is forever finding on a bench along the 44 bus route on Walnut Avenue in Roxbury:

This time it's a whole roasted chicken. BTW the 44 is so slow I think the chicken was alive when it started waiting.

Boston MA - Person Struck by an Orange Line Train at Ruggles Station - 4/5/14

Around 5:30 p.m. Service was stopped between Back Bay and Jackson Square as firefighters worked to get the person out.

Boston Police report an officer shot the man to death around 3:10 p.m. at 77 Lenox St. in Roxbury as they investigated a domestic-violence complaint:

Somebody in one car opened fire on somebody in another car around 4:45 p.m. at Walnut Avenue and Circuit Street in Roxbury.

The shooter, who stood up through the sunroof of his car, succeeded in blowing out the windshield and passenger-side window of the victim's car. Both victim and shooter sped away.

The car that was shot at is a silver Volvo S40 sedan, possibly a 2002 or 2003. It's also missing the windshield and a window. The shooter's car was described as a gold sedan.

A retired Cambridge cop can continue to drive while awaiting trial on charges he sent a man into the hospital in critical condition yesterday by plowing into him with his car in front of the Massachusetts Avenue T stop.
