Good to know: Elevator inspectors do not have the power to pull you over in your car

This useful bit of information is brought to us by the Herald, which informs us a state elevator inspector was suspended after he used his ID badge to "aggressively" make a driver in Newton Corner pull over for a reason tight-lipped state officials won't disclose.

If you are in an elevator car, you had better pull over.

Elevator inspectors are just Guys who couldn't actually hack building elevators. Tell them they'll hVe to buy their own lunch and they'll disappear...

Hey buddy my husband installed or built elevators for 30+ years before becoming an inspector. You have to be a mechanic in the elevator trade in Texas before you can become an Inspector. You sound like your jealous. Who wants an inspector that hasn't built one. I wouldn't . How would they know if the elevator is safe or not? Its people like you that make ugly comments about everybody that usually are the ones that can't cut it.

As a former property manager I can attest that the vast majority of Massachusetts elevator inspectors are a bunch of vile, corrupt drunkards.

Having worked with dozens of property managers over the last twenty years, i can assure you, most of them are highly underqualified, unprofessional benefactors of nepotism who don't understand various codes. They also think their buildings are sovereign nations that don't have to adhere to such codes. Elevator inspectors are often reprimanded because some idiotic building manager made a phone call to the state house complaining that the elev insp. Inspectors jobs are to make sure codes are obeyed for the safety of the public. And most of them do their job conscienciously and proffessionally. Its not their fault when a building mgr has to spend money to comply. If the bldg mgr knew the codes or listened to their licensed proffessionals, it would not be an issue.

There's the two lanes on Centre Street coming from Galen, one that feeds into the Pike West and one that feeds onto Washington Street that inevitably gets blocked when people try to access the Pike from both lanes.

Then there's the merge onto Washington Street that gets blocked by all the people that get bottle necked by the pain in the ass light at the beginning of Centre Street.

Then there's the merge onto the Pike East where two lanes quickly turn into one where that asshole in the X6 just has to get by you.

And last but certainly not least, the backup of traffic that occurs when all of the Porsche Cayenne's have to skirt around the line waiting to get off the Newton Corner exit off of the Pike East, blocking everyone just trying to get by in the far left lanes.

Somedays I feel this man's frustration.
