Red and Green meet at Park; that's where the delays are most stark

A dead trolley at Arlington outbound is backing up things on the Green Line. The T is reporting similar delays on the Red Line from Park to Alewife for unspecified reasons.

Wind will solve the delays
Mother nature will come to the rescue this morning with gusts and hurricane force winds pushing the trains through the wind tunnels.
Which will be offset by the large number of trees
that will inevitably fall on the Riverside Line wires.

Regarding the Red Line, they're called "sympathy delays".
Was on a C train
that started out of Park Street but stopped short at the E berth. After about ten minutes of not moving, and two "Disabled train at Arlington. We'll be moving shortly" announcements, I had the operator open the doors so a bunch of us could get off and walk across the Common to our destinations instead.
Now there's a question for a relativity course: How many minutes in a "shortly"?
