Police find, arrest North End restaurant owner they say tried to shoot somebody on Hanover Street
Boston Police report arresting Patrick Mendoza, 54, who had been on the lam since he allegedly fired a shot at a long-time acquaintance he couldn't stand on Hanover Street on July 12.
Police say Mendoza will be arraigned today in Boston Municipal Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault by means of a dangerous weapon and simple assault and battery. WCVB reports the BPD fugitive unit arrested him at a Falmouth substance-abuse clinic.
Mendoza owns Monica's Trattoria on Prince Street. The licensing board yesterday held a hearing to determine whether he still had the character and fitness to own a liquor license. His family's longtime attorney said his brothers were in the process of trying to take ownership of the restaurant to keep it open.
The board has set another hearing for 10 a.m. on Tuesday to discuss a formal citation for Mendoza's failure to appear at yesterday's hearing.
Innocent, etc.

Hmm
Seems like I'd be worth knowing where they found him
Per Channel 5
He was in Falmouth at a substance abuse facility
OH....
This is why they teach you PEMDAS in school, kids.
Poor guy just had an order of operations disorder. FIRST you get cleaned up off the junk...THEN you settle your past grievances (which might instead be resolved by the first bit).
