Anusha Mookherjee spotted this sign on the inbound turnpike at Beacon Street in Kenmore Square today, which is, of course, Star Wars Day. Dianoga? What, you don't remember the scene in the trash compactor with the dianoga tentacle?

I remember the scene.
But the creature in the trash was not identified during it. Which makes the message an instant fail.
How did it get there?
I always wondered how that organism got onto the deathstar. It's not like the deathstar docks on a planet and it climbed aboard. If it was thrown out with some garbage, how did that person not notice it in his or her trash. (Sidebar, were there any "hers" on the deathstar, or was it a bro zone?) For a massive precision killing machine, it sure seemed to have a pest problem.

Her name was Omi and she got there by being captured by Vodron on her home planet and being turned over to the Empire. But she killed her captors and when the ship arrived at the Death Star, they discarded her into the trash compactor where she made a home until it was destroyed. She was even Force-sensitive (which is why she baptized Luke, but they thought she was trying to take/eat him).
