Somebody should have told the MBTA that latex paint and concrete floors are a bad combination

Witness the recently applied grey paint on the floor of Boylston Station, which has almost completely worn off in about three weeks.

OTOH, it could be that this "necessary" project was supervised by one of those "no-show" workers.

Sibling rivalry gets out of hand in Boston

For the second time in a week, somebody's been charged with stabbing a sibling. Boston Police tweet a man stabbed his sister this morning at 21 Centre St. in Roxbury.

The stabbing comes a few days after police charged a woman stabbed her brother on Wendover Street in Dorchester (in that case, the woman allegedly told police she didn't stab the sib; he "ran into the knife").

Bill Bulger's oozing insincerity and the future of classical-music radio in Boston

John Carroll reports on last night's woefest at Old South Church about what WGBH is doing to classial music on air - which seemed to consist mainly of people complaining about crappy reception of WCRB.

Laurence Glavin files a report as well, notes "several rows" were set aside for the media, so expect a flood of stories about "Whither Classical?" over coming days.

Garrett Wollman was there as well, notes only one person asked why any of this matters in an age of iPods and wondering why people aren't so heated up about "the health of the cultural institutions that produce the music they value."
