The Massachusetts State House - where corruption runs so deep, you get the bends when you step out the door.

I heard on the radio that DiMasi was the third Speaker to be convicted of federal charges. I'd just like to thank the state Attorney General's office for ferreting out all that corruption. Errr.... not.

DiMasi said he would not have second thoughts about running for office again.

Not just a scumbag, a delusional scumbag. We know how to pick 'em, don't we?

From Boston.com:

“You spend a lot of time, 30 years, being a legislator and doing what you think is right and helping a lot of people, and I don’t think that there was a full story told in there about my record and about what I’ve accomplished as a speaker or a legislator,’’ he said. “I think that was all lost in this case.’’

I have no doubt that Sal has done a lot of good over the years. But, his reasoning above shows the typical arrogance of a politician caught in the act.

So Sal, you did all this good stuff, and that allows you to get away with some bad stuff? Kind of like accumulating airline miles - after awhile you build up some credit and cash it in for some thievery?

Classic.
