The Comic Sans of the new millennium

Andrew Teman is compiling a list of Boston restaurants that use the Papyrus font, because he's sick of it.

I'm Less Concerned About...
I'm less concerned about the font a restaurant uses on its menu than whether or not when I order seafood, I GET THE ACTUAL SPECIES I ORDER. OK, there's literally no chance I'd get Chilean Sea Bass, but is Red Snapper too much to ask? Apparently, yes.
Nope, try again, Andrew...
Well he's off to a terrible start. That "pita tyhme" place does NOT use Papyrus in their logo. It's a font called Tempus Sans ITC. They're SIMILAR, but they're not the same. If he's going to get all "font nazi" about Papyrus, he should at least learn what it looks like.
I noticed that, too
And why hasn't he taken the city to task for labeling half of their solar-powered trash cans in Jokerman?
"Boston Shines, 365!" JOKERMAN.
Even worse issue with those trash cans
Is that they all say "HEY KEEP IT CLEAN."
Even aside from the missing comma, I object to trash cans yelling at me.
Even worse
The walk light buttons that squawk "wait" the instant you push them, as if you push the button as a prelude to rushing madly into the street.
Compare
For those curious about the difference:
syntax error
if it only has one item, can it truly be called a "list"?
So far this seems more like a beef than a list.
If someone wants to be nitpicky and make lists
Maybe someone should compile list of people who still use Foursquare, the Friendster of the new millennium. I thought I was the last person to get rid of it months ago.
Now we know the fontist in the South End
This must be the guy that puts in all the complaints about fixing the fonts on road name signs! You've been exposed - fontist!
Not anywhere near trendy
Papyrus hating is so 2010.
So what's
the new font we're supposed to hate on?
I despise Calibri, the new Microsoft Office default font. It's just ugly.
Oh my GOD, I HATE CALIBRI. I
Oh my GOD, I HATE CALIBRI.
I reconfigured my personal Office suite back to Times New Roman but everyone else in the office uses Calibri all the time now. It's awful.
(And don't get me started on cursive fonts as email signatures)
The Internet, serious business.

You should have at least thanked Pumpkinhead for his informative graphic showing the differences between Papyrus and Tempus Sans.
;-}
I don't mind Papyrus and Comic Sans
But I draw the line at Zapf Dingbats.
