Give to the world and the world gives to you. Like any investment, it doesn't always pan out but it's a world ahead of the grasping cravenness that we so often encounter.
NESN kept getting the little dude on camera , and dispatched sideline reporter Gary Striewski to give him 2 baseballs , one from Jerry ,and one from Don. Plus the Red Sox sent him a grab bag.They handled it well, a good time was had by all. The little dude's parents should be proud of their apple there.
and I love his reasoning:
Ryan, age 12, said that after seeing other people do the same thing on TV, he thought he'd give it a shot too. "I thought it's a nice thing," he said. "And it's good to…make people happy."
Watched it unfold last night - the face on the little girl was priceless. For a second I thought "did he really just give a baseball away??" Great story - good kid. Good job, Mom and Dad.
