These are great photos! However I don't see any photos of Annette Kellerman, who was famously arrested on Revere Beach in 1907, for SHOWING HER LEGS. I guess post WWI beach culture was more liberal...

Sweet Jesus! 'Dem curves.
Sweet Jesus! 'Dem curves.
wow really.
Now when you go to Revere Beach, some of the swimsuits people wear really don't leave much to the imagination. Sometimes dental floss would cover more than I've seen there.
Bring Back
the DERBY RACER!!!
What's with the boots?
Proto-booties?
Well ...
Rocks, lots of shells, etc. Hard on the feet.
Heaven only knows how nasty that beach was even then, particularly in the water!
I usually wear some kind of footwear on the beaches in New England.
That, and, well, omg ankles!
Based on the wall
Based on the wall in the background, I'd say Revere Beach. From the outfits, I'd guess 1919.
Oh, wait. This wasn't one of those?
Wonderland
That looks like Wonderland in the background.
Why were women so much
Why were women so much prettier back then?
Women today go to the gym all the time to look half that good.
Just saying.
Two words
No cars. Even the wealthy had to hoof it many places.
They were also very young.
Hussies !
