The T got through the storm OK; now's the time for delay
By adamg on Fri, 01/05/2018 - 8:40pm
A dead inbound trolley at Boylston is causing "moderate" delays on the Green Line.
Earlier, there were "moderate" delays on the Blue Line due to signal problems at Orient Heights and "moderate" delays on the Red Line due to a deceased Alewife-bound train.

Commuter rail had some issues, too
I know, right?
This morning on twitter I saw people giving the T kudos for yesterday, then the evening rush hour hit.
Not sure what happened there. Other than the temps taking a nose dive by noontime.
The curse of things being good
A mutual friend of ours posted about the Blue Line troubles. He mentioned a broken train, which seemed odd. Sadly, a broken signal sounds about right.
Hopefully the T will keep on scaring us until the temps rise, since that’s a guarantee that nothing will happen.
Are you trying to claim this is normal?
It isn't. MBTA: 2016: No. 1 in breakdowns: nationwide
Correction
No. 1 in commuter rail breakdowns.
I will take the T over WAMTA or the BART, any day. Heck, I bet this summer visitor from New York were amazed at how well functioning the Green Line was, with only 2 or 3 breakdowns a week.
Correction to the correction: No.1 in ALL Break-downs
Add in the light rail break-downs and subway break-downs, MBTA is No.1 in ALL break-downs. Defending champs in 2017? Likely

And don't point to Adam's post on the issue or the host of articles that came out at the same time, as each one refers to the same report that was concerned solely with commuter rail.
World class, baby
Red Line towards Alewife was running at intervals of 15-20 minutes at 5:30 pm. Yup, 3-4 trains per hour at rush hour.
