Cats and dogs lying together at Harvard

Today's shocker: Faculty Club opens doors to students:

Women gained entry to the Faculty Club's main dining rooms in 1968. And now, students, too, will join the ranks of Club diners.

When I worked at Harvard, one thing I really enjoyed was the access privileges.

One spring when my mother and father were in town, we went to the Mother's Day Brunch with my parents, Mother-in-Law, and grandmother-in-law. It was a beautiful Sunday morning and we were all dressed up and it was just so nice to treat the moms to something special like that. It wasn't crowded either, since it was reservation only, and it really wasn't all that expensive.

I can see why they now opened it to students - not only does that increase their customer base, but it is a really nice place to have a grown up lunch with your parents on grown up terms.
