Man's body pulled from Charles River near the Longfellow
State Police report divers pulled the body of a man out of the river near the Longfellow about 1:50 p.m.
State Police report they and Boston and Cambridge firefighters, including divers, began looking for the man around 11:30 a.m. when "witnesses reported seeing a man struggling in the water" near the bridge.
State Police said the man was 34 and homeless.
The Massport Fire Department, Massachusetts Environmental Police and the Coast Guard joined in the search. Around 12:50 p.m., the Boston Fire Department reported the search was no longer for a person to rescue, but a body to recover.
State Police add troopers are now attempting to determine the man's identity. The state medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy.
