Bob Ward was on hand for the annual Roslindale Easter-egg hunt this morning.

Here's hoping they got a permit from ISD - we wouldn't want children scarred for life seeing the Easter Bunny being tossed into the back of a cruiser.

The hunt is this Saturday at 10 a.m. in Adams Park. Video by RoslindaleVillage.

It's the day before Valentine's Day, so of course Stop & Shop in Dedham already has all its Easter and Passover stuff out.

So much better when they're fresh:

... At first, they look like little peep angels, no eyes or color, just their little peepish souls on a tray ...

On one woman in Grafton. Tired of losing all his eggs?

Of course somebody made one.

Dirty Water, meanwhile, compiles a list of bars that will be open for tomorrow's season opener. Of course, this being Massachusetts and all, they won't be able to serve alcohol until two hours into the game (first call is legally 8 a.m.).

And look, ye geeks: Sox news via Twitter.

Seems Stoughton's first Easter-egg hunt and visit from the Easter Bunny didn't go too well. Lynne reports:

... The Easter Bunny arrived by Stoughton fire truck and the crowd formed a line to see the Bunny in the gazebo. But you know there are always a few fools in the crowd. Some people have no manners and do not know how to act. People started pushing their way to the front of the line. One big jackass bully, with his two big bully kids, tried to cut in the line in front of me. I told him to get in line like everyone else and be mindful of the small kids standing in line. (I didn't use those exact words.) He left the spot I was standing and tried to get onto the gazebo at a different angle but was turned away by one of the workers. ...

Kristie Helms espies:

This afternoon at 1 p.m. while walking over to meet a friend at Fornax for lunch, I saw two butchers in front of Tony's Meat Market on Washington Street reach into the back of a minivan and pull out two, completely skinned, lambs and carry them in. ...

Not a bloody mess, but red nonetheless.

Sandouri Dean Bey can't help but thinking of an old Greek Orthodox story on why Greeks dye Easter eggs red, involving Mary Magdalene carrying a basket of eggs, which she said would turn red if Jesus had risen, and, of course, they did.

... Verily I say unto you, if Christ is risen, this road shall turn red.

Run, like the wind!

They held the annual Easter Egg hunt in Adams Park in Roslindale this morning. A woman standing next to me was there for the first time. She had a hard time believing me when I told her all the eggs would be gone within two minutes. I think it was maybe 90 seconds this time.

Fortunately, after the main hunt, this guy always wanders around the park with a box full of even more eggs, tossing them around for kids who came late - or just didn't get enough.

More eggs!

Lis likes Cadbury Creme Eggs. Just not four months before Easter:

Last night, I saw Cadbury Creme Eggs and Cadbury Caramel Eggs on the shelves of the local drug store. ...
