The Boston Licensing Board voted yesterday to suspend the license of the Dublin Pub, 7 Stoughton St. in Dorchester, for one day over the way a patron was sliced with a machete last August - but then voted to hold the punishment in abeyance until the end of August to give the bar a chance to prove it's taking steps to keep it from happening again. Proposed extension of Silver Line to Everett and Sullivan squares

The MBTA and MassDOT said today they want to extend the Silver Line 3, which now terminates in Chelsea, to neighboring Everett and then to the Sullivan Square T stop - where riders will be able to ride a new breed of "high frequency buses" to Kendall Square. Read more.

The Boston City Council today unanimously approved a measure in which the city would shift federal Covid relief money originally targeted to increasing the composting of garbage to leasing a 5,500-square-food cold-storage facility to give food pantries and soup kitchens a central place to store refrigerated foods - including food "rescued" from restaurants and markets.
