Citizen complaint of the day: Thanksgiving comes first
By adamg on Fri, 11/21/2014 - 6:21pm
A concerned citizen wants the city to do something about residents who put up their Christmas decorations too early, such as on West Newton Street in the South End.
Enormous Christmas decorations illuminating the street. It's not even Thanksgiving yet! Can't we wait a tiny bit longer?

Some
neighborhoods would see that as a huge plus.
Ok I admit it
I submitted this one - with the hopes that it would be found humorous.
But really you have to see this thing - there are big flashing stockings in the top window, way too many lights, and the ambient illumination was visible around the corner (Which was what drew my attention - I initially thought it was an ambulance or fire truck). I'd hate to live across the street from them...
I call 911 when the laundry
I call 911 when the laundry doesn't have my shirts ready as promised. There's got to be a law against that.
"Offensive:no"
I like now it lists in the actual submission:
"Offensive:no".
I think it depends on to whom you're talking, City of Boston.
Seeing as though
the city routinely leaves holly bundles on streetlights until Easter and evergreen planters until they turn brown and self-compost (Boylston at Mass Ave; Beacon at Park Drive), I think the City of Boston is firmly of the belief that this is tasteful.
Hey, you are luck enough to live in the South End...
nuff said.
Saw some..
Down Lenox/ Camden today at work.
I think you should spearhead the project and as such, I nominate you to bang on doors. South End Solidarity! Lets take a good old fashioned "boots on the ground," approach. Im sure everyone will be receptive to such vital and proper minded discourse.
...Oh please, Chowda.
Go Pats.
Seriously? It's a lost cause.
The tree at Faneuil Hall is going to be lit tomorrow — to much local TV fanfare.
Complaint: someone likes Christmas too much
Get a life.
