Dead Sam Adams truck in Jamaica Plain

A Sam Adams truck, about to make a delivery to Blanchard's around 9:30 a.m., kicked the bucket right in the middle of Centre Street, forcing police to block the road in both directions until the truck could be moved.

"Usually, I'm more than happy to see Sam Adams," Tiffani Faison, who took the photo, commented.

Interesting ad on Craigslist right now:

Looking for a South End Parking Permit for 2014. Work in the area with pay per day parking garage and looking to see if anybody who lives in the South End who doesn't have parking permit would like to get one and sell.

Car on pedestrian bridge

Conrad Crawford posts a photo of a New Yorker who somehow managed to get his stupid car on the Northbank Bridge - that swoopy bridge between Cambridge and Charlestown that's supposed to be for pedestrians and bicyclists - last night.

He reports the boulder at the beginning of the bridge had been moved for some reason. He adds that for some reason, the guy refused to wait around for State Police to arrive.

Ed. note: Bet the guy blames his GPS.

Slow going on 93 in Quincy

With little else to do as she sat there, Karen photographed the speed signboard on 93 north in Quincy early this evening.

The delays, it seems, were caused by all the hubbub over a police standoff with a wanted man inside a house on Furnace Brook Parkway in Quincy.

A weary citizen in East Boston sighs:

I'm not sure if this is asking too much, but on border st and white st in East Boston, I've already shoveled out 5 parking spaces, and everytime I come home at night people have moved put of theirs and into my shoveled out spots. I'm exhausted from having to shovel a new one every night. By that point, it's hard and icy. Is it possible that the snow can be removed during the day, because my neighbors aren't doing their part?

Wicked Local Brookline reports that, according to police, a visiting bicyclist from Jamaica Plain got upset at a motorist going around him on Washington Street, apparently because he was riding in the middle of the street to avoid just that sort of thing, so he caught up with her at a light and smashed her windshield with his bike lock. Police then arrested him.
