Crossing the expressway in the giddy
interval between fatal missteps
I trot out over the southbound abyss, bent
under my twenty pounds, hurdling each

I saw a turkey crossing at the same place at about 5 pm yesterday. Maybe this guy has been walking back and forth to work!
