What's the Custom House have to do with the coronavirus?

So far, the answer is: Nothing at all. So it was odd to turn on ABC News tonight to see some doctor talking about COVID-19 while seeming to float in the air in front of the Custom House.
Turns out she was at 10 Liberty Square - inside a studio at Video Link Boston, which provides studio space and Boston-themed backgrounds for TV-network interviews, even when the interviews have nothing to do with Boston and the backgrounds have nothing to do with the interviews.

It's usually the case that some backdrop is used for wherever the person happens to be. So I'm assuming this doctor is from Boston. Often it's the Zakim Bridge that is shown.

They do this all the time with a green screen on CNBC. Usually the Zakim, Hancock or Cambridge in the background, but this works too.

Companies like Video Link cater to a wide range of clients. Having a chroma key wall and some nice looking graphics makes the most sense for quick interviews like this.

Why?
Obviously, I thought this was weird enough to take a photo of and post, but this is not the sort of thing that Orange Julius Caesar is forever complaining about. ABC wasn't making any claims about the Custom House, neither it nor Boston ever came up during the report, absolutely nothing about the background affected what they were talking about, it was just a sort of odd thing that only the odd Bostonian would care about, which is what led me to post about it.
So, yeah, sometimes a quirky thing is just a quirky thing.
