New city councilor Sharon Durkan sworn in in the Public Garden

And the Beacon Hill Times was there.

Durkan was elected to finish the term of Kenzie Bok, who left to become the new head of the BHA. Durkan will have to run again in November to win her own two-year term.

I'll never support Kenzie Bok or one of her minions (like Durkan) after Bok abandoned D8 during redistricting. The result? Her district got cut up and East Fenway & the Symphony neighborhood are now part of D7...aka Roxbury. Because that totally makes sense.
