Jamaica Plain could soon get new source of fresh, sustainable food

Farmers to You, which hooks up Vermont farmers with Boston-area consumers, reports it is very close to setting up a delivery site in JP (what? Oh, you thought I was talking about that other place):
In order to have a site open, we need a site host and 30-40 orders. We are very close on both counts.

If there's any fairness...
I look forward to the strident press release from "Farmers to WHO?", complete with their list of 83 penalties the farmers should pay for their crime of daring to potentially improve the quality of life, and thereby raise property values, in JP.
Sustainable food? Does this
Sustainable food? Does this mean someone is going to keep eating it over and over again? Ewwww....
gerbils
It's that gerbil thing all over again....
(no. not the Rob Lowe story.)
Rob Lowe?
I thought it was Richard Gere.
hmmm
I think you might be right about that....so what was the Rob Lowe story?...Masturbating in a public place? Some sort of hooker thing? All these celebrity scandals start to blur after Fatty Arbuckle.
Famers To You in JP (and beyond)
Well, while we can't claim to be able to have a direct affect on property values, we like to think that we can help with the quality of life.
We've been looking forward to adding J.P. to our "served" neighborhoods (I'll pause for all the food puns; Beverly, Cambridge, Somerville, Lexington and Arlington.
Our website is www.farmerstoyou.com. Unlike CSAs, you get to choose what you want. Order it by Sunday, picked up from the farm by Tuesday and delivered Wednesday (or Thursday). 65% of your food dollar goes direct to the farmer.
Thanks for the story and posts!
