concrete on roads
what a fricken mess that is - it's the worst I've seen.
That said, this seems to be an increasingly common phenomenon - there is one place (entrance to the turnpike eastbound from Park Rd. in Weston) where this seems to be becoming a monthly occurrence (there it is just the remnants in the chute that go onto the road as the truck makes the left onto the ramp, but there is enough concrete deposited in the road to make it a significant hazard if it is there long enough to harden).
Who will be the first
to carve their initials in the drying concrete? Joanie luvs Chachi 4eva!
I hope the cops pepper spray
I hope the cops pepper spray that punk concrete!
Why was
The concrete running its mouth and not complying with orders?
Not only that, but the
Not only that, but the concrete exclaimed "you can't do that, man!"
Because it's concrete.
Because it's concrete.
Did 20 ppl and news chopper get video?
to see how police responded to taunts from the concrete?
Too Bad
That some of that concrete can't be used to fill some the many pot holes in that area. That part of 93 is a serious mess.
What was the truck protesting

#ConcreteLivesMatter
The Staties are trying to locate a pepper spray container big enough to deal with this.
Just kidding! Everyone keep their knickers untwisted and go about your day.
Some of our resident car advocates
...are probably organizing a vigil as we speak to mourn the loss of so much precious, precious, concrete, which never even had a chance to replace a spot of parkland somewhere.
Then again
that concrete could have been destined for a sidewalk somewhere. Or the foundation for a Hubway station perhaps.
Bike vs Car
If a bike did something which slowed down traffic and/or ruined a road surface there would be dozen of comments about lunatic cyclists who care about nothing but themselves and should be banned from the road.
But when a truck has a preventable accident that causes a major headache and expense the same people only blame the driver/company (not all trucks) or figure that "Accidents Happen" and it isn't a big deal. The same thing goes for every time a car plows into a building, bursts into flames, etc.
Wrong this was
Solely the drivers/companies fault. I drove by it! What you cant see is the truck further up the road. It was a regular dump which did not secure the back latch correctly, not a cement truck.
But at least were on the same page regarding cyclist being a pain in the ___ and entitled!
