The sign is just written in dialect. Sure, the person is being an asshole thinking public property is theirs, but do we need to stoop to discussing what varieties of English are superior to others? When it's music or poetry or novels written in dialect, most of y'all are appropriately appreciative. Let's focus on the message, not the delivery, hm?

I'm going to have to agree to disagree with the use of "clean" there.
I occasionally see signs like this around my neighborhood. The most recent was a sign either advertising, or asking for shoveling help. The lack of a period or question mark really made things confusing.
I think the word clean is being used liberally

I might be a saver apologist, but come on folks, take pride in your work. I am almost thinking that Kaz (below) is right. If someone did a real shoveling job, they might have the claim.

Here's a free idea
...for the note leavers- put a map to the nearest unshoveled spot. So in my neighborhood, there's about 8 spots on Albano St, just waiting for an industrious person who needs parking.

Marty Walsh is starting to clean them up because it is out of control. 48 hours as a guideline - as in 48 hours after a storm or snow emergency ends. The last storm was 2/15 - even if you go by 48 hrs after the snow emergency was lifted (6p 2/18) - space saver time ended at 6p on 2/20. Time to move on.
