Boozed-up cans of Dunkin' coffee hit some sour notes
By adamg on Fri, 10/27/2023 - 3:50pm
All About Beer reports Dunkin' has stopped shipping its spiked coffee-like beverage to stores for now because Mass. Bay Brewery, which makes the stuff, is holding off new shipments due to "the detection of an off flavor," related to preservatives in the brew.

Assuming the White Claw crowd
Is the target audience for such a ridiculous undertaking?
You’d be surprised…
FMB’s (Flavored Malt Beverages) make up a surprising percentage of U.S alcoholic beverage sales.
White Claw isn’t even in the top five FMB brands by sales, nor are any of the other alcoholic seltzers.

caffeine + alcohol
popular combination among 24 hour party people.
old enough to remember Menino waging war against 4 Loko. Is this really different?
That's nasty.
That's nasty.
That off flavor
Is true to Dunkin coffee.
It wouldn't be authentic if it wasn't left to boil in an urn for sixteen hours.
if only
that were the problem... it already tastes bad when it's fresh
i'd at least try a non-off can of it
just for funsies.
maybe it was just the extensive day of travel, but the Tip Top canned espresso martinis that Delta serves weirdly hit the spot.
What alcoholic beverage does
What alcoholic beverage does anyone put in coffee besides whiskey? I enjoy a nice hot cup of coffee and cream with a shot of Jack Daniels on the side. First drink some of the coffee then do the shot followed by another sip of the coffee. I find that this technique caramelizes the whiskey giving it a nice sweet flavor.
What's the deal with Irish Coffee: Does it work the same way as my technique?
No, the Bailey's/ Whiskey is
No, the Bailey's/ Whiskey is pouring into the coffee.
What alcoholic beverage does
Gosling's Black Seal rum
I was told at the Harpoon
I was told at the Harpoon Beer Hall, that they made the alcohol for the Dunkin coffee drinks and then shipped it to Polar for the coffee part.
Man, that's as close to max New England as you can get!
Maybe throw in a little Moxie, a dash of Del's Lemonade, see if Foxon Park wants to contribute some flavors...
No offense to our Mainer neighbors but...
to an Outsider adding Moxie to the any mix would create an off flavor. ;)
