In the Back Bay, the squeaky wheel gets the new bus route
By adamg on Tue, 10/20/2009 - 8:55am
The Tech reports MIT has changed the route of some of its student shuttle buses because of complaints from Back Bay residents about squeaky buses rattling their windows.
Ed. copy desk note: I'm betting the "Congress representative Martin Walsh" the Tech refers to is really state Rep. Marty Walz.

One thing about MIT shuttle
One thing about MIT shuttle buses is that they employ among the most polluting of vehicles that go back and forth through the neighborhood. MBTA buses don't hold a candle to the stench and soot that the MIT shuttles spew. It just hangs in the air after they sputter through the streets. It's utter b/s that one of the wealthiest and most esteemed technological research universities in the world can't hire a bus company spews a bit less crap into the local neighborhoods!
but they are using small
but they are using small amounts of student biodiesel. maybe?

I can't tell if that's a promotion for Walz or not.
Oh boy and I do mean boy,
Oh boy and I do mean boy, were they off on that one. Getting the gender, name and title wrong. Hat trick! Heck they even got the title wrong even if they were right.
Or you could do a google search..

and find STATE REPRESENTATIVE MARTIN J. WALSH
Yes, you could, and you'd probably be wrong
Martin Walsh represents Dorchester and so is unlikely to care much about buses in the Back Bay or, more important, be contacted by anybody there.
In contrast, Marty Walz is the state rep FOR the Back Bay and so is very much likely to care about buses there and, more important, be contacted by somebody there.
Kiss me I'm Marty Walsh!
