The Animal Rescue League of Boston reports that with the help of state troopers, it rescued a cat that somehow wound up inside the Ted Williams Tunnel.
State Police report that after getting calls from both motorists and the rescue league, Sgt. Bob Dateo shut traffic to allow the kitty rescue:
This little kitten looks like she has been through a lot, as she has lost quite a bit of fur on her tail from some sort of burn. Her prognosis is good however, and she will be up for adoption soon, when she is medically cleared.

Great headline, Adam
As your 999,999th hundred online editor, I certainly have don't have anything better.
However in the spirit of the feel-good story I hope you don't mind if I can try to get other readers to offer suggestions in a kind of poor man's Top Ten list?
Were there any nicknames you discarded?
My albeit weak suggestions?
The Splendid Sprinter ( because lil guy was sprinting around tunnel)]
The Splendid Sleeper
The Kit
Tabby Ballgame
Anyone else?
What a face!
What a face!
For some reason, all I can think of is an old Bloom County storyarc where marauding aliens from outer space are served with a subpoena for (televised) Congressional hearings, a tactic which backfires when these implacable deadly invaders are discovered to have puppydog bodies with Ollie North eyes. "They're telegenic!"
I look at the ending photo on that video and all I can imagine is "Yes - I conspired with the Russians, hacked the voting machines, used Hillary's legs as scratching posts, and I have the Constitution lining my litter box." - and her approval ratings going through the roof!
Looks like a Russian Blue.
Looks like a Russian Blue. Poor baby - glad it survived the tunnel. Kittens can get into a lot of mischief.
Get her to Fenway
Sox need all the help they can get these days!
Fenway would be a good name for her!
She could be their Rally Alley Cat!
