The difference between the Ghetto Glen Mall and Davis Square

Nancy Pearl Wannabe informs us that one is full of sketchy stores and an iParty where you too can buy a Passover Bag of Plagues, while the other is full of sketchy frat boys and plagued by U2. Also, she issues a warning to said frat boys and band members:

I will smash that Solo cup right out of your sloppy hands if you get too near my newly-washed car.

Also, Kat Powers at Wicked Local Somerville has an exclusive backstage pass of sorts to the show: Turns out her office overlooks the rear of the Somerville Theatre and she is promising exclusive blog and Twitter updates. Unless, of course, the Police show up and throw her out for security concerns (see, the Boomtown Rats would never do that).

Why banks want you to take your hat and sunglasses off

Who is that hooded dude?

MassMostWanted says the above fellow is wanted for holding up the City of Boston Credit Union branch at 1010 Morrissey Blvd. on March 4. The 6'1" guy must've been warm under his blue/green hooded sweatshirt, fleece style mask, baseball cap and gloves. He also didn't shave that day, although how can they tell?

Whoever lives at 35 Bellevue Hill Rd. in West Roxbury probably shouldn't order a pizza any time soon

Boston Police have alerted West Roxbury pizza places that they need to dial Area E-5 detectives (617-343-4566) if they get any delivery requests from that address, following a robbery on Saturday:

Stimulus where you need it: Hanscom airport taxiways

Just a few months ago whilst on the way back from a weekend in Vegas with Adam, Kaz, The Zak and Swrrrly, UHUB-1 hit a pothole in one of the taxiways at Hanscom- causing my monocle to fall into Adam's glass of port, Swrrrly's Cuban cigar to nearly set the Alpacian leather on fire, and the door on The Zak's soundproof chamber to pop open. The latter resulted in a good 5 minutes of ramblings about the libraries in Vegas until we got to our hangar and transferred to HUBBENZ (the Prius is Adam's runabout when he wants to drive himself or the chauffeur has the day off.) Well, we decided to use our massive collective influence in the Boston political and media scene to make Massport ask for $10,000,000 in stimulus funds to fix those potholes.

Unfortunately, with the recent changes around Universal Hub, the Citation had to go- so, we implore Massport: please, we don't need those runway repairs any more! Spend that change on something we can believe in!

How about some good news?

After reading the T-related and taxation-related and the many [fill-in-the-blank] sucks threads, I need something completely different. I need some happy talk, some good news. Maybe you do, too?

There must be something that we like about this place, otherwise we wouldn't be living here, right? I mean, only a dope would live someplace that he or she hates.

So, what does the city do right? What does the state do right? What do you really, really like about the T? When you get pissed about something in this region, what is it about the region, overall, that keeps you here?

As Chaka Khan once opined, tell me something good.
